Hello all! I just recently built a computer and the keyboard I bought with it is just a cheap membrane keyboard and it works great, however I'm looking to upgrade to a mechanical keyboard. I have heard they are superior for gaming and have tested a few at best buy and I really like the feel of the tactile switches so probably blue or brown. I think I have narrowed it down to the Razer Blackwidow or the Logitech g710+. I was Wondering if anybody could help me with my decision I play mostly fps games such as bf4 and cod if you have any other recommendations please let me know thanks.

While my current setup is a 710 and a Naga, I've played around with my friends blackwidow and can honestly say get whatever you like the look of better. Blackwidow is lower profile, I like the volume wheel on the 710, that's really all I got. You can't go wrong.

Edit: With things that close, your mouse and headset may come into play. If you're getting a G930 and a logitech mouse, then go with the logitech keyboard so you only have one piece of software to use. Same goes for if you want to get a Razer mouse and whatnot.

Thanks for the response my headset is a Razer kraken 7.1 and my mouse is a steelserise rival so if I went with the blackwidow my headset and keyboard will both be using the same software. But will the software really make a huge difference? Do you like your 710s switches I can't decide between the brows or the blues.

I like the feel of the 710s dampened keys, so I personally would go with brown switches. The software doesn't make a difference in computer performance. It's just nice to manage everyone at once from one screen, profiles and macros and such, not a big deal at all.
