Using micro-atx on a mid tower case

So I was wondering why people recommend using an Atx mobo for mid tower, I was thinking anout using the z87m d3h in a cm 690ii case.

They are cheaper also, what are the pro and cons of using one

you could use the board you want but if you want to do high gaming or overclock i would suggest you go with a atx board for this .

I am only using one R9 280x and I do plan to Oc my i5 4670k :p

then your ok with the board and case choice dont forget you will need a haswell psu for the i5 4670k .
