Hi,
I have a USB-3.0 pen-drive and an old PC.
I doubt whether USB-3.0 male speed is affected by old USB-2.0 female.
USB female also have version updates right, i am in doubt in this too.
Will this version mismatch affected speed of USB?? Is it true.
Thanks in advance :)

Solution
USB will run at the speed of the slowest device in the chain. In this case, it will run at USB 2.0 speeds.

However, the rest of the flash drive will be faster than a typical USB 2.0 flash drive - USB 2.0 drives rarely max out the bus, while the USB 3.0 one probably will.

Wouldnt put that much faith in hardware manufacturers that the hardware inside a flash drive can make use of USB3 bandwidth. HDD manufacturers for instance have put SATAIII interfaces on their drives for a long time now, and they are nowhere near capable of saturating SATAII as of yet.
