hello everyone on this thread...this is my first post and i have a lot of expectations from this forum. So i begin
i have bought max payne 3 and installed it on my windows xp..but it did not work. when i started it it kept updating for a long time but when launched it it asked me to sign in on social club but as soon as i signed up it crashed back to desktop without any error message. Later it auto signed in me and when i pressed enter it started loading and kept on continuously and never stopped! i have a pretty medium end pc but i think its my graphic card that is creating the problem. i have also tried starting it on safe mode but no success. So the main problem is that i crashes without any message on logging in to RGSC or i stuck forever at loading or initializing.
My Specs :-
Windows xp Sp3 32 bit
Intel dual core 3 GHz
2 gb RAM
Nvidia Geforce 210 1 GB

my GPU is not GT210 its just 210 an entry level card so i know it might just be the cause and i have updated to Windows 7 ultimate x86
i am soon going to uodate to ati radeon HD 5450 or 5570 1 gb...suggest any other cards aswell
and ya its not the disc as i tried with my friend's disk aswell
plz plz help me out

download the latest social club manually. this solves the problem in most cases.
but in your case I cannot promise, because of that 210 GPU. its the lowest grade available right now.

I would recommend that you upgrade your GPU to anything from 600 series above. If you have a deep kitty then buy 780 or 780ti or if your kitty is really really deep then the 295x2.

So shall i download the latest social club patch manually and install it after the patch that installs automatically that says is the one necessary to run max payne 3 (the first automatic patch) right ? and also i will be upgrading my GPU to Ati Radeon 6450 or 5770

I solved the problem as told by you to buy a gpu from GT600 series so i bought GT610 and more of 2GB DDR2 RAM and the game worked and i play on high settings without lag..Thank You
