hyper 212 evo and xpredator x1

i am thinking of fitting a hyper 212 evo to my pc instead of my noisy stock cooler that amd 8350 provides me but the problem is some say that it won't fit as others believe it will...
does anyone know for sure?
please help!!!

Sorry for the thread necro, but figured I would post if anyone is in a similar circumstance. I have the Xpredator-X1 case, and ordered the Hyper 212 EVO and it DOES fit with about 1/4in of room left above it. My mobo is the Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5.

I'm not sure if case size specs normally account for the part on the removable sides that extend like half of an inch, but the cooler fit in with just barely enough room above. I'm not sure if I'll run into any problems with the heat, but there are hole vents right above it.

I first found this thread through googling about the 212 EVO and this case, so hopefully this helps someone. But again, I'm not sure if the barely 1/4in of room above the cooler to the side of the case is not recommended by experts.

I've been looking to get to CM 212 EVO CPU Cooler for my AeroCool Xpredator-X1 case for awhile and now you've confirmed it's fits which is great, Gonvik can you send me a photo of it while it's in your case? I would like to see how it looks inside

I just installed the CM Hyper 212 Evo in my Xpredator X1, it looks so:

I think that in this case can fit a Cooler that is not higher than 161mm.

Moidar does any part of the CPU Cooler touch the case to cause vibration?
