Mainly i thing this is my DVD-Rom failing. Let me start from the beginning. At first i wanted to install Batman Arkham City i put it in started installing and at the beginning the whole windows completely hanged. I restarted the pc thought it was the disc that was bad put in Batman: Arkham Origins and then a little after the setup windows hang again. Now i thought the windows is corrupt i installed a new windows but Dvd-rom stops reading the disc at "Expanding Files" at various times, sometimes at 8% sometimes 24% and sometimes 59%. Basically it reads and than stops and again read and than stops. Recently one of my HDD failed too so i bought a new HDD and checked it with WD Life Diagnostic Tool and ran both Quick And Extended Test no problems. So my HDD was not bad either. And what the fun part is that I installed the windows 4 times just cause of this hang up. And all of the times windows hang at Expanding Files and than again starts reading and than again hangs. So all this leads to Dvd-rom being bad right? Sorry for such a long message just wanted to explain everything and leave nothing behind. Thanks in advance. Another thing i changed the motherboard settings a little bit cause the Windows wasn't installing so i Disabled the Intel Speed Step but i don't thing that would be the cause.

It's possible there's a motherboard (SATA controller) problem but much more likely a DVD-ROM issue. In the meantime if this PC still doesn't have a working OS you can always install from USB

It's also a lot easier and cheaper to pick up a DVD-ROM to test with!

Having Intel Speed Step disabled wouldn't cause the symptoms you have described regarding the CD/DVD drive.

You should replace the CD/DVD drive as there is no other reliable way of knowing if it's faulty other than installing it in a different computer to see if you get the same problem.

Well i don't have any other PC in my home but i tried installing the game in my uncle's laptop and it is installing perfectly. My suspision is going towards my other HDD too, it is not showing in the boot menu after i tried to install the game as usual windows hanged and there is no more OS in that HDD. Could this hang up cause my OS to vanish just like that or interfere with the boot order?

Do all of your drives appear in the BIOS settings?

It depends on how the board's BIOS is set up but many boards only show the drive set as the primary drive as a boot option (though I'm not sure how your board works - did you see both drives there in the past?)

Sorry for the confusion. I thought that it is a CD ROM.

What I meant was, IF you have multiple HDDs, to try disconnecting all EXCEPT OS HDD and DVD ROM. See if it will work OK with only those 2 connected.

If you are referring to the HDD not being shown in the Boot up menu, it is showing not since i installed a new OS in it 4th time now. And i installed it like i remove the DVD when suddenly the light stops and than insert it again and than takes it out and than again insert it when the setup ask for DVD and i installed the OS in like 1 and a half hour. I fed up of this ROM man this is too much.
