Are My Powerline Adapter Speeds Normal?

I purchased a powerline adapter starter kit to increase my speeds on my PS4 on the opposite side of my apartment. After doing so my speeds jumped from 10mbps wireless to 25mbps with the powerline adapter. This is great news, but I won't lie that I'm a bit underwhelmed. I'm capable of getting 105mbps if wired directly from my modem. I was expecting maybe 50mbps at worse. Are these speeds normal?

I did purchase the 200mbps powerline adapter instead of one capable of 500 or 600. Not sure if my speeds would be faster had I purchased one with higher capacity, since my speeds don't reach even 200mbps.

Oh, and I'm not sure if maybe my outlets are not on the same circuit. Though I'm in a 1000sqft apartment with only one breaker, so I didn't think I would have more than one circuit. My knowledge starts to dip out when talk of circuits, wiring, and electrician speak comes up.

Solution
The speeds you are seeing are very normal for powerline adapters in real world scenarios. If your endpoints are on the same circuit with very little interference you may be able to get about 50Mbit/s with a 200Mbit/s powerline adapter. Generally the Powerline 500 and 600's will do a little better. You can get around 80Mbit/s with a 500 and almost 100Mbit with a 600. Now those numbers are in near perfect conditions. In real world most people see about half that (or less), so 25Mbit/s with a 300, 40Mbit/s with a 500 and maybe 50Mbit/s with a 600.
