Hi,
I just bought a new PSU (650Watts) and my old UPS is 700VA / 360Watts.
So my question is will this be a problem if the electricity goes off for a minute or so, will the UPS handle it ?

Thanks

Hi,

provided the batteries are in good condition it should be fine. The capacity of a UPS simply determines the time it will stay on for. The PSU won't draw 650W constantly- that's the maximum it will draw if you're thrashing your system in a game or something. Normal power draw will be quite low (maybe 80w or so).

My advice, boot up you're machine to desktop with it plugged in via the UPS, then turn the socket off at the wall. If the UPS is working properly you're machine will keep running.
