I purchased a WD Red 3TB drive a while back without realizing that it can't be used in XP.

Is there anything I can do to allow it to be used? I tried splitting it into 2 partitions (2TB + 1TB) in Linux GParted and Windows still wasn't picking up on the drive.

Any suggestions of possible solutions would be appreciated!

I think your motherboard needs to support it aswell. Not all supports more than 2TB. Check your mb model.

The 3TB is showing in Ubuntu (Linux) so I'm guessing the Motherboard is ok with it (just not XP).
