Hi everyone -

As the title says I switched houses yesterday and relocated my desktop in the process. Had to unplug everything obviously. Yesterday, all my games (D3, LoL) were running very smoothly (60+fps), but now that I've reset up my rig it's running fine in all aspects except that im down to 15-25 FPS in both games. And not just during high-volume times. LIke, as soon as you log in. WHen nothing is happening.

I'm not really sure what changed. My internet connection is fine, my drivers are updated, my CPU usage is 10%, my RAM usage is 40-50%, my processor is cool.

Any ideas what could have created such a drop between yesterday and today?

Please provide your system specs. If it's Intel, my first guess is you accidentally plugged in to your mobo's video connector, not the one on your graphics card.

#WHELP.

Onus, it's good that there are people like you in the world to help people like me. I took a look at the back of my rig and did notice that I had plugged my HDMI monitor into the mobo instead of the graphics card. The simple switch fixed all my issues.

THANK YOU

Glad to help! When moving a system with lots of cables connected, a diagram or snapshot (even with a cell phone) is a good memory booster.

Brilliant idea, I'll make sure to do this for my next move. Thank you.
