Sorry to hear about your A/C! I'm in a rental so I don't even get the option to put it in! Have to settle for the window mount POS units :(

And no worries, didn't waste my time and was glad to give some input. I just picked up the GTX 770 2GB Yesterday after debating between a GTX 780 Classified refurb and a GTX 770 4GB Classified. Picked and ordered the refurb 780 but was told it was already out of stock and money was refunded. Did some more research and got lots on info between the 2GB and 4GB 770. That small line I wrote you was what 2 days research boiled down to

If it matters, I agree don't spend another dime on anything for the Dell. I gave up on my OptiPlex 760 in November and started buying/putting together the rig I'm using now. Prebuilts just aren't really any good for upgrading.

If the Laptop is just for streaming to the T.V. and it's only temporary (until you got the dosh for your monster rig) why not look at getting something used? It's not like it really has to do much or be Extremely reliable. Just a thought :)

P.S. Don't waste a dime on Alienware, they are over-hyped over-priced under-performers. You can get better (for your needs) for less.

*EDIT*. You edited all the good stuff outta your post

NO WAY......I edited All that good stuff I wrote???? What a Retard!!!!! ooooops lmao can't say that anymore. But I am!!!
Ooooo Manlolol.
Anyway, I agre with you and myself totally. I wont put another nickel into this Dell .
I can't wait to build My Beast and I'm gonna use this as an anchor for my boat. I will NEVER buy another Brand name Desktop ever again!!! Especially a Dell. I went thru 4 XPS's. It all started out when they came out with the XPS 720HC (Hyrdo Cooled) Great Concept, but I just crapped out in 1 week No BS. So they gave me a reg XPS 720 which was really a good PC. It had a 100w PSU Dual Nvidia Graphics Cards....I don't rem what was out back then, but it was when the first started to SLI Vid Cards. it had 2 2 Gig cards Sli'd and 500 gig HD's were the big thing.....there was 2 of them. So It was a pretty good PC, played any game , Graphics were unreal at the time!
It was runnin Great and all of a sudden Blue screen of death???? I was like .No Way..This was like 6 years ago.
It ran Great for 2 years. When the Blue screen hit, they sent out 2 diff techs to my house and the 1st guy changed the Ram, NG came back in 3 days changed the mobo.NG......came back n changed the entire guts in the PC PSU on Down......u know ow Dell has their PSU's up in a cage. When he was done , it ran for 6 days.
Then the sent a diff dude. He did the same exact shtuff the other guy did and finally the said ship it back.
awwww man I was pissed. So they send me an Alienware. At the time, I was using the PC more for work than for gaming and there was only 1 legacy pci slot. it was just we they started using the PCI-e cards. But my SoundBlaster card was PCI. My TV Cap card was too n somthin else ttoo. So I couldn't use the thing........it was this big ugly ass green blob sitting here lol I was like get this outta here and send me another XPS 720. That PC Kicked ass!!!!
They said ooo they aren't in production any longer. And I had paid over 3 grand for that pc. That was a lot 5 years ago for pc. well the sent me this XPS 9100 they just came out with. it had the 1st gen of the I7
And I had that ins where they had to give me a pc worth the same amount or better..
Well just because this had an I7 in it, they said it was better than the pentium I had. The pent had I feget how mny coresbut it had Hyperthreading, the 1000 w PSU n th SLI'd Nvidia's.
They said that because this had an I7 in it, it was a better PC
1st off it was a Refurbished POS........Yeah it has an I7 930 in it....slower than death....a radeon 5770 Vid card
the Mobo only has 1 Vid card skot lol and a 1 TB Seagate HD. And they said it was worth more than the other PC because it had an I7..........Man I was PO, But what could I do??? Nothing. I tried putting in a PCIe3.0 controller card and NG took over foor the mobo n nuthin ran rite. they striped out the USB 3.0 ports, but left the drivers in lol.
I had to get a 4 port USB 3.0 card.turns out it's a Great card for I think $39 bucks? It has the UASP scsi protocol....which runs at 480% faster than a usb 3.0 port......I mean it super fast dude!!!!
When I transfer a torrent aI unrar rom the c dive over to Seagate Backup Plus 3TB Ext HD there is NO transfer window........nobs I clik cut n paste it into the ext hd an it just shows its in there, but when I send the same file to my Snology DS-1513+ Server, I get a transfer window and it takes like 2 min to trans over.
It's an Anker 4 port usb 3.0 hub PCIe 1X card with a 4 pin molex for power...and it's like lighting. So if you have a slot open n u want to send files to ur ext HD's like u never seen b4,, get this card u wont b sorry

If you do have a slot open for it........get it!!!!!!!!! For 20 bucks it's faster than the I7 in this POS lmao
if u do get one , don't use the disk they give u for drivers........I did and almost sent it back. but I loked up the PCIe code on Google and it Brought me to I anker.com. Once I got that driver man on man I couldn't believe how fast it ws
Only with the Seagates though. For some reason, with the WD Ext HD's only work on turbo speed, not UASP (Scuzzi protocol)
Dude......I'm sorry I edited out the message.........it had some good stuff in it ahhhhhhhwhat an idoioit
well 1 thing I was tellin yaa is that I bought the Corsair Obsidian 900D case..........Hunk a junk made in China POS
