Should I go with an Fx-6300 with a 7950 or...

FX-8350 with a 7850

Please know what your talking about before posting.

I plan on playing BF4 and Minecraft shaders.

If you plan to overclock (most likely), make sure your motherboard is suitable. Reference the spreadsheet at https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo7tdE9xMUFlMEVWeFhuckJEVF9aMmtpUFE&gid=2 and choose a board that has heatsinks on its VRMs and is not listed for problems. You'll want a true 900-series board; note that 960, 980, and ASRock 970DE boards are actually liar-labeled 700-series boards with modern interfaces missing or provided by slow[er] 3rd party controllers tacked onto them.

If upgrading to the R9 270 or 7870 are possible like Onus suggested....then that would be best.

If that exceeds your budget, then the fx 6300 with a 7950 will be your best option.

For gaming, your Gpu is significantly more important.

Not to mention, most amd Cpu's are overclock friendly. The 6300 should be stable when OC'd to 4Ghz (and the 8350 comes stock at 4Ghz)
