Hard drive replaced

Replaced hard drive in laptop. Now screen still says no media found. Changed boot order on bios and that still doesn't work. Any ideas.
 


No - never did this. The CMOS ROM is much too small to hold a copy of the OS.

What you're prolly thinking of is a hidden, "Restore" partition on the original HDD. That is how most OEMs do it nowadays.

Ok. On my daughters laptop , the hard drive went up. I replaced It with a new one , but it will not read the restore disks.
Meaning , the laptop won't install anything new from the disks. It acts like it is bit nothing happens.
