So this was the first setup I was going for:

CPU: i5-4670k 3.4ghz 6MB
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 280x DirectCU II TOP 3GB GDDR5
MoBo: Asus Z87 K SKT 1150
Memory: Corsair PC3-12800 1600Mhz 8GB XMS3 XMP CL11 (2X4GB) DDR3
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Sata III 3.5''
PSU: XFX TS Series 550W 80Plus Bronze
Case: Zalman Z12 Plus

But I've been going through videos of Full HD gaming of Watch Dogs (for instance) and I see that the i7-4470k handles it better than the i5-6470k, I know that the game Watch Dogs as BF4 favors 8 cores or HyperThreading, but that made me think; Well newer games are now favoring 8C and HT so rather spend 297 euros now, than 205 now and more 297 later on this year, with all the new games coming, not to mention I'll probably have to invest in a new GPU... I do not intend to OC the i7 but I was planning to OC the i5 atleast to 4Ghz so I would be getting the Hyper 212 Evo.

Questions, looking foward, is the i7-4470k HT'ing worth it for future games and currently BF4 & Watch Dogs for Full HD + Ultra settings gameplay in comparation with the i5-6470k? Or will the i5 do the job, for lets say the next year and a half?

If the i7-4470k would be the way to go(remember no OC'ing it) atleast for the next 7-8 months, keep it at stock, would I need to change anything? As in, MoBo, PSU? If so what should it be upgraded from - to?

Many thanks, hopefully I'll get a quick and satisfying answer! :)

I think the power supply...

If you do not plan to overclock, there is no point in getting a k series cpu. Not sure why you would want to overclock the i5 but not the i7 though. Either will do 4.0ghz with ease with the cooler you are looking to get. If your intent is to keep the system as long as you possibly can, go with the i7.

Get a Xeon E3-1230 v3. It has hyperthreading like the i7, yet costs just a little bit more than the i5-4670K: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116906

Unless you really NEED to overclock, this is by far your best option.

You can also save money in the motherboard and CPU cooler areas, because if you aren't overclocking, you can make do with this kind of thing:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 V3 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($249.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.43 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 280X 3GB DirectCU II Video Card ($319.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Zalman Z12 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($26.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $876.36

I have an H97 motherboard in there, which I checked and is compatible with the Xeon. That motherboard will work with Intel's next generation Broadwell chips, while Z87 or other 80-series chipsets won't work.

This ^ is an awesome build and you will love it.

Hope that helps!

Problem is they are in Europe. I have had 0 luck finding the Haswell Xeons over there. Only the Ivy bridge ones. UK you can get the Haswell, but Euro sites do not seem to be supplying them. H97 doesn't seem to be available there yet and only 2 Z97 boards. Seems that they are taking their sweet time over there catching up to the US and UK.

Crap that's true. What country are you in, Daeranstyle?

Back to the i5 - i7 discussion, apparently that CPU is nowhere to be found out here, for warranty fast response I get everything from these one store which usually has everything, but that one CPU doesn't even show on their website...

I'm from Portugal...

What websites do you use over there? We can help you find stuff.

Well mate, I can sell some shit including my Xbox in order to get those 100 euros difference between the i5 and the i7, the question is, from the i5 to the i7, would I also need to get a new PSU or even MoBo? Or those would do just fine?

If you get one of the -K series you will need a Z87/Z97 motherboard.

Your PSU is just fine. That XFX is an excellent power supply.

If you don't feel like selling your Xbox and stuff, the i5-4670 is still an excellent chip and it performs nearly the same as the i7 in gaming.

So, this
Asus Z87 K SKT 1150 is enough for an I7 and the 550W is also enough? And if I overclock the i7 a Hyper 212 evo is enough? Aswell the 550W PSU and same board?

I think the power supply should be fine, but I would recommend getting at 600 watt or more. AMD recommends a 750W, so I would try and get a 650W or at least a 600W.

The ASUS Z87 K will work great, but i'd recommend the same board, but rather the Z97 counterpart. That will future-proof it to an extent and will allow for you to use Intel's next generation of CPUs, Broadwell.

The Hyper 212 EVO is a good cooler and you should be able to overclock well on it.
