Hey guys, just hoping someone can give me a hand with my new Logitech g600 mouse.

This is the second one I have bought, as I had the same problem with the first. I left my computer for an hour or two, and when I came back, for some reason, the mouse was hitting the g15 key continually, spamming any chat I had with the number 7. I hit the g14 key, and then the spamming has stopped, however, so have several of the g keys, I have switched it between modes, and for all three modes, those keys have stopped working.

As an example, on default:
12456890=

so the keys not working are 3,7, and -
or g11, g15, and g19

If anyone has had or seen this problem, I would greatly appreciate the help, as this is very annoying, as I use it for WoW, and I have now lost a quarter of my usable abilities.

Thanks so much for your help!

Solution
I have the solution.

I had the exact same problem, the same keys, G11, G15, G19 not work, as well as spamming "7" and the ring finger (Gshift) all don't work.

The issue is a pinched or broken ribbon cable inside the mouse. I did a complete tear down of the mouse, and I was able to fix the issue by unpinching the cable. If it was completely sheared, you can easily buy a replacement off ebay. It is a generic "12 pin ribbon cable 0.5mm pitch".

Try to get warranty off the serial # (thats what i did, before opening yours up, incase they require you to send the original).

Here are pictures of the teardown incase the above doesn't work out.

P.S. There are two 15g weights on the side that are removable if you wanted it lighter...

It may be a firmware issue. I had a problem with the known ' jumping cursor glitch'. Some models have updateable firmware and some earlier ones dont. Logitech customer support is usually first class. They sent me a new one and said I could keep the other one. Just RMA it.

What do you think of the G600 in general? It looks great but I think the buttons are fiddly and a bit overkill.

I would love the mouse, were it working correctly. I recently started playing World Of Warcraft again, and it saves me a lot of time and effort rebinding the main action bar to the keyboard.

I tried contacting Logitech about the first one, and literally got hung up on twice with nothing said but "Hello, Logitech Support", and finally when someone did speak with me, they told me they couldn't help because I bought it from Amazon and hung up again.

This the email for logitech support in the UK:support-eng@logitech.com

Also contact Amazon anyway and try and get them to RMA

Tell them both this is really bad customer service and put up a crappy review on Amazon.
