Hi I am new to this website, so sorry if this post isn't the best. I currently have a GTX 650 TI and I have been looking to upgrade to the GTX 780 for a while now the main problem due to money. Now that I have the money I can buy one but I don't want to buy it then a few weeks later the 880 comes out and I am stuck with this one. I know this question is asked a lot and I am sorry it's just why not ask my self. I have heard several things though that the GTX 880 is coming very late this year or early next year, but also believe its going to come out soon in the next month. So if anyone could help me that would be fantastic. Should I buy the GTX 780 now (which I am leaning toward the most) or wait several months and get the 880? Thanks!

Solution
It depends, if you arent satisfied with your card, and dont want to wait get the 780. It is a great card, and will hold its own for a long time.
The 8xx series has yet to show a release date, let alone pricing and performance.

I say go 780.

If your board and PSU can handle it I would go with a GTX 770 4GB edition. At the current price you can almost buy 2 for the price of a single 780 and get way better performance. Also with games starting to require more then 2 GB of vram, having 4GB will give you a bit of headway.

Ok thanks I am happy with my graphics card its just that with some games like watch dogs, skyrim, far cry 3 it can struggle a bit and I am the kind of person who like to play games with high settings if my card can handle them. I just want to future proof my computer for the next few years and I have pretty much done everything in my budget to do so and all that is my graphics card. So I will consider yours. thanks again!
