Hello, I'm currently preparing to build my first gaming desktop and would appreciate any advice on the parts I'm using and any tips building the PC itself. If I posted this in the wrong section please let me know.

I have already bought a tower for my gaming pc: NZXT PHANTOM PHAN-001BK R

The parts I'm looking at buying for this gaming PC so far are:

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Graphics Card: EVGA ACX Cooler 03G-P4-2784-KR GeForce GTX 780 Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Processor: Intel Core i7-4820K Ivy Bridge-E 3.7GHz (Turbo 3.9GHz) LGA 2011 130W Desktop Processor BX80633i74820K

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR

Hard Drive: Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive – OEM

Power Supply: APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 500W ATX Power Supply

My main issue is that I can't seem to find out if these parts are even compatible, though I admit I didn't look on very many sites. I plan to use this to play games like Battlefield, Far Cry 3, Skyrim and both Fallouts with mods. Thank you in advance for any and all advice.

seems ok, seeing as the incompatibility has been pointed out already the only thing is the power supply, cheap 1's will usually have a few buggy bits, my old 1 burnt out my gpu in a week, I'm not sure if its just a US only brand (UK based personally) and that's why i haven't heard of them, or if it is a cheap 1, personally I'd get something from corsair as I've only had good experiences with them, but the extra cost could save you from an expensive repair/replace bill if it goes wrong. The rest seems good, although if you want a fast system, get a small SSD and install windows on that

the motherboard is a good 1 stick with it, and i7 is a great cpu, u need to find a LGA1155 or H2 connection i7, and maybe some arctic 5 thermal paste for a good heat sync, the cpu normally comes with paste but it tends to be cheap stuff
