Hey everyone,

So I built my first build back in 2011, and I've decided to upgrade some components because I will be moving around a lot and don't want a large cooler hanging off the mobo during shipping...I've read some horror stories haha.

So here's what I'm looking for. A Small-ish mid tower case for my ATX build, that will fit all my components without having to mod the case. I'm coming from the OG NZXT Phantom full tower case (USB 2.0 not even 3.0) so most of the suggestions will definitely be smaller.

Next I'd like to replace my cooler with a liquid one and run a push/pull setup with something like a NZXT Kraken 40 or a Corsair h100. I'm not set on these, but I'd like to overclock my i5-2500k (I know... I still haven't done it) to at least 4.5ghz. So I'd like the case to be able to accommodate this.

Lastly, I'm thinking about using this PSU to replace my Antec High Current Gamer 750W. with this.

- Cooler Master V650 – Compact 650W 80 PLUS Gold PSU with Modular Molex/SATA Cables (Haswell/Kaveri Ready)

Here's specs on my current build.

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k 3.3ghz (not overclocked)

CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS9700

Mobo: MSI Z68A-GD55 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

GPU: EVGA Superclocked w/ACX GTX 770

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 16GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Hard Drive: Crucial M4 128GB SATA III SSD

Storage Drive: 1TB Seagate Storage Drive

PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 750W

BUDGET: I'd like to keep new Cooler/Case/PSU under $300...but Max $350-400...Go nuts!

Any and all help is appreciated :)

Most Cooler Master PSU's are crap. I'd go with this baby:

Case:
Choose between what ever looks best to you. They will all fit with your budget. And they are smaller as these are Mid tower, not full tower like your phantom.

Fractal Design Define R4 is here somewhere...
That PSU switch will do nothing for you, you could get a H100i and OC your CPU for better performance, is case size a serious issue? If so pick a slightly smaller case taking into consideration your personal taste GPU length and the fact you need space in the roof of the case for a 240mm radiator and switch your things over.

OR

You could keep the case and just get a H100i and OC your CPU for better performance

If you would rather have air(I know you stated water but bear with me), the Noctua NH-D14 is king. There is a newer version out, but I can't find it.

100 For PSU
100 For Cooler
100 For case
Give or take 20 bucks.
You are set.

I'd like a case that is smaller than full sized. Like I said in my post I will be moving a lot. This is also why I'd like to switch to liquid cooling. Also to try new things, because well.. I'm bored.

As for the PSU, I'm not going to run SLI ever. I just wanted a PSU that might be running more efficiently, and is semi-modular for easier cable management.

Honestly, I guess the shipping costs for my NZXT Phantom would be negated by getting a new case, but I just want a new case lol... I'm putting new life into the build so I figured why not.

The PSU you chose will either burn out fast or explode.

LOL. Tek Syndicate posted a video review about the cooler master so i just decided to stick it on here for now. I'll probably go with that XFX you suggested. Won't explode right? ;)

So were you saying the PSU would be a downgrade because of lower wattage or because its a cooler master? I'm not going to get it now, but i was just wondering

Yes. I am glad to help.
btw, if you want some sort of lighting system, take a look at the NZXT Hue. I only point this out because the case has a window.
