Hey I was just wondering what would be a good computer to have built or attempt building(as this is my first time doing such a thing) for new and upcoming games such as Wildstar. My budget is $1000-1200 Canadian. What are your thoughts on having this machine built?, at NCIX?? Sorry for being such a noob :D had to start somewhere! Oh and keyboard, mouse and screen dont have to be included!

- NVIDIA GTX 760 2GB (maybe a radeon r9 280x?)
- Intel Core i5 4570 CPU (is the i7 worth it for gaming?)
- 8GB 1600MHz Memory
- 120GB Samsung EVO SSD
- 1TB 7200RPM HDD
- Upgraded CPU Air Cooling
- ASUS H81 Chipset Motherboard
- 600W Corsair CX Power Supply
- DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW
- Microsoft Windows 8.1

There get 212 evo cpu cooler later on if you want to overclock.

Solution

wildstar is not very graphically intensive game it will actually be complete overkill for that game but you want it to run future games good too. As far as overclocking there would be very marginal fps increase in overclocking but yes that one i have in there is factory overclocked.

Thank you very much for your time I appreciate it, I'm going to try going over to NCIX and see how much they would build this machine for. Also do you think a bigger power supply would be necessary if I eventually get two monitors? Does that even matter?

I am not sure if they would build it for you i would recommend doing it yourself even if they do it it would cost you a lot more for them to do it and my prices are based from multiple merchants that have lowest costs it will be more $ to buy everything from NCIX but you can try to get them to price match everything i think they do that.

Yeah I double checked even if they dont price match the prices are off by $2-5 anyways, So I dont mind if its that little. And really, how much you think they would charge me to build it? that much more? I'm just scared I accidently install something incorrectly.. Also would I need a bigger power supply for more than one monitor? does that even matter?

power supply does not power your monitor is has a separate power plug on the monitor so it would make 0 difference even if you have 4 monitors.

As far as building a computer it is not that hard if you follow directions but i personally charge $80 USD to build a computer but i am sure in a store it would probably be more.
