backward Compatibility maximus hero vii gpu

Hi i have a asus HD7970-3GD5 and i want to upgrade my mobo from a gigabyte p55aud3 to maximus hero vii
i try to find the compatible gpu and cant find mine. From other companies thans asus it is compatible but not this one ??
and from my maximus vii what ram should i use i tought G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-16GTX
What do you think i have a budget of 700 to 850$

Good to go, GPU is fine and the 2400 sticks run great in the Hero VII, had my 32GB set of Tri's 2400 in an dno problem on mineas well as a number of other sets, just playing with it right now while waiting for the DC K CPUs to be released, have a spare 4770K in my Hero VII, have my Hero VI in sig.
