Acceptable CPU Temps?

What is an acceptable temperature range in a cpu case? I just built my own computer for the first time and I'm not sure what is ok. Playing BF4 at max graphics causes the temps to reach about 76-78 degrees at worst (4 measurements in REaltemp going on at the same time) on the lowest fan setting, but the higher settings dont seem to do much more.

Setup:
-i5 4670k
-GTX 770
-NXZT Phantom 410 Case

Solution
Thats okay considering you have a Stock Cooler.
I have the same cpu and a NZXT Kraken X60.
My System idles at 34-38 degress celsius.
A lot depends on the ambient temperatures , so if you have a room or house thats actually warm , the CPU temperatures are supposed to rise.

In My case this holds perfect , because on early mornings when its cold my System used to idle at a freakin' 29 Deg C.
Otherwise in daytime it hits even 39 on any core , but doesnt pass that.

Anyways , while Gaming/Load the System at any cost doesnt cross the 60-61 Deg C mark , this is the same case when i run IBT/Prime95. Seems the CPU Cooler is doing its job.
And no game stresses the CPU so much as they do.
I'd rather be more worried about GPU Temps , mine...

Anyways in your case check if your room or the place you keep the CPU if its warm or if you could fit a Cooler/Air Conditioner in that room , especially in Summers as it gets nasty that time.

I shared my experience , and i recommend you a CM 212 EVO at least.
if you can spend more go for a AIO Cooling solution.

Thanks for the help guys!

My idle temps seem to right around yours catalyzer, so thanks for the sight of relief! I may look into an aftermarket cooler; especially since I may plan on adding more RAM in the future.

Your Most Welcome.
Yes if you think you should cut down your heat on the CPU you should opt for a aftermarket solution.
They drastically reduce Heat at Load , on Idle they perform similar to Stock Coolers/Fans.
