my desktop, Lenovo CPU processor- intel i3 2nd G, 3.30ghz, 4GB RAM(max8), 280psu, useless GPU intel graphics 2000,

Now to install a good GPU to play 2012 years onwards Games, I need a better graphic card to handle higher graphic games.
But since all good GPU requires a good supply of more than 450 watt, I am not sure which one to buy online.
Some looks cheap but I can't take any chances, since I have never bought any (zero knowledge).
So I want you to help me out in selecting a good
1. power supply for Lenovo desktop and
2. A graphic card that can handle BF3, Crysis 2, or even COD Ghosts.

If you are not going to game hardcore style with ultra settings and 1080p resolutions, I would recommend GTX 750 Ti. Its power consumption is almost negligible and can even run on PCIe power and performance is on par 650 ti boost or 560 ti.

Going 750 Ti route, you do not need to upgrade PSU.

However, if you are going to play games on ultra settings and 1080p, the whole system setup would require a change including CPU, GPU and PSU. My recommendation would be to go for i5 4th generation along with GTX 760 or 770 and seasonic s12 620W PSU.
