Hi, Ihave searched around the forum for an answer to this but most people seem to have an issue with their external hard drive not being detected by their laptop. I use my hard drive for movies only and it usually is being used on my tv or on my xbox, all of a sudden they are not being detected by either but shows up on my macbook fine, can anyone tell me why there might be a problem.

TV usually only accepts hard drive with FAT32 while windows usually formats a drive as NTFS. So, re-format your hard drive and see if it shows up on your tv
I don't know about xbox, i don't own one

Hey bro, exact same problem, threw some new stuff on the external hd like always and now no connection with the xbox360. If possible could you suggest a cord you went with or the store or brand. Love watching tv this way also I'm using a Mac as well, and no updates software related whatsoever. Appreciate any help.
