Need tips & recommendation to cool my dell vostro 1540 [n series]

This is my 1st post on tomshardware community

I have a dell vostro 1540 from last 6 months my laptop get hot like hell even if i do normal internet surfing.

So please give me some tips and recommendation about should i use any cooling pad or cooling tools and which tool...?

I suggest you check your CPU usage in the TaskManager tab.Is your laptop running hot even if it's on idle?

Yes sometimes on idle the cpu not get hot but when i just do normal surfing over internet its get hot but cpu usage is like 2-4% ,,,,
How ..?

If you are surfing the net with your laptop on a soft surface,I suggest you do surfing on a table because a soft surface will hinder the airflow inside your laptop.Is your fan running loud if you surf the net?
