Why is my processor working in my motherboard

I have an older PC I was fiddling with and looking to just update the processor and ram to the best the motherboard can support, and I have noticed something that is confusing me.
This is my MSI older motherboard.

The supported CPU list is showing me something confusing.
I ran CPU-z on my rig and I currently have a Phenom X4 9550 (Agena)
Cpu-z is stating my L2 cache is 512 and L3 is 2meg.
I am going to use this a spare CAD computer.
AutoDESK support says one of the most beneficial elements of a processor for AutoCAD is its Cache.
I wonder why the supported CPU list shows my processor at 2meg L2 cache when cpu-z is not showing that.

Other then helping me to solve that, is there really another processor worth stepping up to that I would actually notice a difference with for this motherboard?

Yes I know I should get a new motherboard but at the moment that isnt an option.

Thanks in advance guys!

Solution
The reading in CPU-Z probably means the L2 cache/core. You have 4 cores so 512kb*4=2Mb.

And to your second question, no, I don't think there's anything worth upgrading to.

Wow, Eduello.
I dont know why but I never considered the cache vs no-of-cores as a factor.

I was thinking that it wasnt worth it to try to pop in another processor, so at least I was on the same page there.

Excellent, I do greatly appreciate your assistance man.
