Hello,

Yesterday I upgraded my rig from a AMD Phenom X4 965 BE on Asrock 870 extreme3 r2.0 to a AMD FX-8320 on AsRock 970 Pro3 R2.0. I've kept all the other parts except the case, which I replaced with a better one. I've also done a fresh install of windows 7 x64 Since the upgrade it keeps randomly crashing and blue screening. First I'll give you the details on my build, after that I will try and explain in detail what keeps happening.

The build:

AMD FX-8320 BE /w Cooler Master 212 Evo
AsRock 970 Pro3 R2.0
G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600mhz 8GB kit (2 modules, bought in 2011, slotted into 2A-2B)
7200 RPM Hard-Drive (Bought in 2007~8, can't remember the manufacturer)
Gigabyte GTX 650TI Boost
Antec P100 Case
Antec 750W PSU

The problem:

After doing a fresh windows 7 ultimate x64 install I started having problems immediatly. Random BSOD's with error codes including but not limited to; 0x0000004e, 0x00000101 and 0x0000000A. There have also been random freezes without bluescreens. I also got a bluescreen error indicating the Nvidia driver failed, I've since replaced this one and am quite confident this component is not causing any problems.

What I've tried so far:

I ran memtest86+, made a full pass last night without any issues.
I ran an HDD test to scan for bad sectors, found nothing
I updated all drivers, Graphics driver was updated to the most stable version.
I've manually selected the timings and frequency for my memory
I've ran windows updates
I've checked everywhere online about compatibility issues between the parts, known issues and fixes.
I've swapped the memory modules around, slotting A2 in B2 and vice versa.

My question to you:
Is there anything I've missed? What would be the most likely cause of this problem?

I've already decided to replace the ram. Would Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2133mhz 8GB (2 modules) work with this build? From what I've checked online it would.

I would suggest running sfc /SCANNOW on an elavated CMD, as it sounds like you may have a registry error (could be wrong, though.) If I were you, I wouldn't switch the RAM. Higher speeds = more likelyhood of issues. As for the drivers, get Driver Sweeper and uninstall them to the deepest level, then, before restarting, download the installer for the drivers. DON'T INSTALL THEM YET. Generally, a driver uninstall will prompt a restart, and then once that's over, install the fresh drivers. Updating will do nothing if you have drivers that are derping. The second error you detailed (ending in 101) has a few possible solutions: 1- Reseat the CPU, and/or 2- Swap your SATA cable from 1 to 4. Good luck, hope any of this helps.

Thanks for the tips, I'll get right on that as soon as I get home from work and I will keep you posted. What exactly do you mean with swap your SATA cable from 1 to 4? Talking about the SATA slot on the motherboard?
