A Few Issues With Game Installs (League of Legends, Steam)

Hey All,

I just completed my build of a new system. Installed 8.1 after a few failed attempts of the install.

I have an SSD for OS and main games and an HDD for other programs/less used games. I went through a process of switching Documents/Pictures/Downloads/etc to my HDD. I was also told in the guide that I had to switch AppData folder over too but since it can not be moved I had to move the 3 internal files from the SSD to my second HDD. I was able to move most of them but some stuff could not be moved since it says it was being sued by the system.

I went to install league of legends on my main SSD. During install an error would pop up. I do not remember the exact error since this was last night and I am typing this during a break at work. The error was something such as AppData\Roaming\...... could not be found. It would let me try to continue install but would never finish. A box would also pop up 2-3 times asking for permission to use(or install?) the Microsoft Visual C++. Is this because I moved some necessary data from the SSD to the HDD and now it is looking for those files on the SSD?

And my question as far as Steam goes is that I tried installing steam from the website but when I would click on the file downloaded for setup it would say that It could not find this in the downloads folder even tho I was clicking on it from the folder it said it could not find it in. This also happened with Skype but I found an app for it. Is that the reason it would not install? I found a Steam app but it was not very useful and was unable to install my games from steam. (The app showed the games I have in my library but was just the games) Any help is appreciated.

Thank You!!

Try to COPY the files back to the SDD in correct location.
Also there is no use of moving the files from the AppData folder to the SSD as they are used by the OS. It is just like moving the System32 folder.

To build on that, if that doesn't work, just do a system restore.

Do not ever move OS folders away from their original location on the disk. If you want to move that data over to another hard drive, you're going to have to do a fresh installation onto that disk.
