the NTLDR is Missing

XP computer keeps cutting off after windows load,the it says the NTLDR is Missing . I found I had installed a Sony cloud program, I never heard of. Now the program thing comes up and cuts the XP desk top computer off soon after windows load. Please help me!

You could try downloading Hirens boot cd iso and boot to it. It has all sorts of good recovery programs. Fixboot...Fixmbr etc... Good luck. I thing the sony thing was just a coincidence.

My computer would not download the windows XP recovery disk. The disk has worked several times for me in the last 10 years but this time it was like putting nothing into the computer.
I bought a windows 8.1 new computer. I really love it so far. I had the old HP XP computer for a long time. It was like losing a old friend. Very hard loss.

Thank you for all the help. I appreciate all of you that tried to help me.
