Better performance when running off battery power??

recently i have noticed something very weird, my fps in a game increases dramaticly when it is running off BATTERY power and when it is plugged in; and running of the mains, the fps goes down to about 18fps instead of 40fps , something is not right, please help! :(

*AMD A10-5757m APU with radeon HD grpahics (8650G)

playing the game, got it UNPLUGGED and has 40fps but when I PLUG IT IN i get 18fps straight away in a instant

Are you using the charger that came with the laptop? If the charger is not the right amperage/wattage, when you plug the laptop up it will down clock the CPU and GPU so that the battery does not drain while it is plugged in.

its the right charger, same one out of the box

i have a feeling that's what it is, but in my games there is no option to change the integrated graphics, so is it in the bios or in CCC? :)

my CCC is abit weird, some options are missing, where exactly is it? i have the latest CCC and drivers by the way :bounce:

no option there, even checked online for the one to search for and its not there? :( please help
