I was looking for a notebook for games. Now I can't choose between A10-5750M + RADEON 8970m and
Intel Core i7-4700HQ + GTX860m. Can someone exlpain, what will be more porefull in games?

Yup, like he said above. The 8970m Radeon card is a lot faster than the Nvidia card we are looking at but the CPU is at best only 1/3rd the speed of the CPU. Its likely the CPU will hold back the GPU a good bit.

Now its still possible that while playing a game the laptop with the a10 in some situations would perform better, in areas where demands on the CPU are less intense but just owing to the fact the bottleneck will affect game performance, not to mention performing slower in any other kind of work, would make most people buy the i7 laptop.

Not to mention another good point to the 860m is it uses the new Maxwell architecture which means it will give high performance, often beating the other laptop since it won't be bottlenecked...

The i7 is really a win all around unless it costs several hundred dollars more.
