I've picked my AMD CPU. I can't fit Intel into my budget. I just want to see what you guys say before I say what I picked. $370 budget for CPU and GPU. I plan on Minecraft shaders (keep in mind it's CPU and GPU intensive with shaders) and BF4 (GPU intensive). If you pick a different combo then tell me. Intel fanboys, keep it in your pants. Thanks!

I'd never recommend AMD for CPU. at every price point they compete, Intel outperforms AMD.

Yeah, FX-6300. Should work fine on any am3+ board. However if you have the money I'd take an fx-8320. But that depends on your motherboard.

$350:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($139.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB Dual-X Video Card ($210.00 @ Newegg)
Total: $349.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Just make sure the motherboard you chose has sufficient power delivery. You don't want to choke your CPU!

And because I just have to:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($184.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB Dual-X Video Card ($188.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $373.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
