Hi all,

I have recently build my machine, everything is brand new, however I'm a little convinced that
my machine is performing very poorly, either it's just my self concious or my PC really sucks :(

Basically, everything is fine temps speed etc, no freezing etc.

However I feel as though with my specs i should be able to achieve much more in regards to gaming performance unless its just wishful thinking..

Within Valley 1.0 I recieved a score of: 2746 FPS of:65.6 Min FPS:32.4 Max FPS: 120.4
and the mountains kept flashing! I've seen people with far better scores than mine, I can understand that this can be because they are OC etc, but surely I should be able to match them to a certain extent. (High and Ultra Settings VSYNCH OFF)

Also within Far Cry 3 although the FPS is fairly good solid 120 and above, distance environment renders very slowly and starts to appear as you get closer. Why?? Lol

Thats with VSYNCH off. Everything else set to ULTRA HIGH etc.

Watch Dog same thing :(  although I am aware of the issues with watchdog, other people are also experiencing similar issues)

Also I've uninstalled and re-installed the drivers, checked they are up to date checked my DVI Cables etc, changed the PCI slots, rebooted several times etc.

In addition my gpu does make a funny noise when fan speeds increase, this is also been an issue with other people, I've read on some forums, could this partly be a problem?

I dread to think its a faulty GPU but before I conclude to that I would want to know I've tried everything else possible.

My GPU is under warranty..

Any ideas........... anybody?

Any advice and help would be appreciated.

Kindest Regards!!

asmiah

You have given us no details as to how your PC is underperforming. Some fan noise is normal at load.

I would hazard a guess that you have not properly OCed your RAM, did you go into the BIOS and manually set the XMP Profile?

Run 3dmark and compare your scores/fps on firestrike to all the similar builds that have also run the benchmark.
