First of all, there are two type of fans out there. Air flow fans and Static pressure fans. Air flow are designed to move massive air into non restricted areas (such as big mesh in front of a case) Static pressure fans are designed to improve cooling performance in restricted areas by generating more pressure (in front of radiators or bottom intake fan with small clearance, for example)
ok thanks, please can you also tell me which are the best case fans around this price?
Really any of the three listed above (Bitfenix LED, Corsair LED, Cougar LED) would be great. All have good volume air movement, which is what you want for case fans. I personally like the Cougars more for intakes, as they have better focused airflow, and they are very quiet.
so would the best combo be the cougar led fans for intake then corsair ones for exhaust ?
The Cougars actually move a little more air than the Corsair ones do, so I would go with the Cougars all around. They're a great, quiet fan And the Blue LED ones are a strong Blue color all over, so it'll really 'blue up' the case lol
The Cougars will do the job for intake AND exhaust. As long as there is plenty of space for the air to reach the fans.
The Cougars are great because they even have decent static pressure also, like the Bitfenix you linked above. The Corsair ones are definitely not for anything that requires any amount of pressure optimization though lol
so... i cant find anywhere to get the cougar fans in the uk... so what do u 2 think i should get out of the corsair fans and the bitphoenix?
The Bitfenix have slightly better airflow than the Corsair and are a little quieter if I recall correctly. I would go with the Bitfenix LED ones
