I need help guys...

I've been looking for a good PC gaming headset under €100 (or $100 :)). It would be great if it would also work with my PS4 but that isn't necessary. I've heard alot about the steelseries siberia v2 and Plantronics GameCom 780, but which one is better for me?

My situation:
My motherboard is a Asus Maximus Hero IV. I play FPS games so I want to hear from where the sound comes. Comfort and sound quality are the most important for me. I won't use it to listen to music, I have other headphones for that.

Any good recommandations?

I personally use the Corsair Vengeance 1500 v2. Don't have much experience with other gaming headsets, but I like it. In-game explosions really rumble and the mic is great. Works great for music as well (I might be a little oblivious to what's good and bad. Previous headphones were the Sennheiser HD201, BIG improvement). The fabric on the inside has started touching my ears recently though. Don't notice it while playing games, but it makes wearing them for a long time tiresome. It also has Dolby 7.1, but it's honestly not as revolutionary as people want you to think. Surround feature is fairly good, but loses some of the charm because the sound quality is canny. Feels like I have two tin cans around my head with 10 speakers in them. This headset does only have a USB connection though. Don't know if that will work with the PS4. Cord might not be long enough for couch gaming either.

Does The Siberia V2 give better sound than Plantronics GameCom 780? (Which has better surround sound?) and what about the comfort? You know anything about that?

Corsair is a good brand. I have a the corsair K70 and the Corsair vengeance m65. I will take a look at the headset. It's a bummer that it only has USB but nothing is perfect ;)

Should I go for the Steelseries Siberia v2 with 3,5mm jack or USB? My motherboard is a Asus Maximus Hero VI, it has very good audio so I don't think I need to get a sound card. Or is it best I get one? (Keep in mind that I will use it for fps games, so surround sound would be very welcome.)

I can get the USB version (heat orange) for €80 and the 3,5mm jack version for €55

As these guys explain, there's no need for a sound card. 3,5 mm jack makes your headset compatible with more devices than just your PC. Some headsets have 3,5 mm jack as default with an optional external sound card that you connect to your PC using USB. I would say go for the 3,5 mm so you can use it on more devices than just your PC. Don't know if it affects the sound quality but I doubt it.

You are sure that the 3,5mm jack version will give me good surround sound? Otherwise,I can get Plastronics GameCom 780 also for the same amount of money and I now they have 7.1 sound

I will only use it on PC :) so it doesn't really matter if it's USB or 3,5mm, I just want the best sound.
(I'm just keeping my Tritton Kunai for my PS4)
