Hi everyone. I'll build a new system this month. I am thinking of buying Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo cpu cooler, but i will definetly go for Noctua NH-D14 if i have enough budget.

Here is my build;

i5 4590 cpu
Gigabyte H87-HD3 mobo / Gigabyte H97-D3H mobo
Gskill Ripjaws 8GB(2x4GB) 1600Mhz Dual Kit Ram
250 GB Samsung Evo SSD
GTX 760 or GTX 770 gpu
Corsair 300R Case with Corsair CX v2 600 600W 80+ Bronze psu

If i have enough budget, i will buy MSI Z97 Gaming 3 mobo for future upgrades.

I heard that Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo cpu cooler will fit in this case.
What about Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler?
Will it fit in this case or on these motherboards? Will there be enough space to mount it?
Thanks for your help. Have a nice day all. :)

Solution
Almost certainly however:

1) The NH-D14 does not have PWM fans, and most modern motherboards use PWM control for the CPU to adjust fan speed.

2) The NH-U12S is a slightly cheaper cooler that works very well. I've been testing it.

3) The NH-U12S is plenty of cooling for the i5-4590. I'm running the i5-4670K at 4GHz presently and it's silent in idle, very quiet in gaming and not too loud when converting video (100% usage).

I have a D14, so I have some experience shoehorning it into a system.

I recommend not buying RAM with any sort of extra cooling fins or whatnot like the Ripjaws have. Doing so forces you to move your cooling fans up higher on the D14. Best case, you worsen the coverage of the first fan. Worst case, your RAM and cooler are incompatible. Just a heads up...

As far as fitting into your case, it should fit. If you plan on having any side fans though, it may be tough as the 300 is a smaller case.

As far as not interfering with your GPU, it looks like you should have room with those mobos. I had a Biostar mobo that I replaced due to the arrangement of the PCI slots. The D14 wouldn't fit without interfering with the top PCI slot, so I had to run my video card in the second slot. When I decided to upgrade my single gtx 670 to dual, I had to buy a new mobo as well.

Thanks for the answer. There is only 1 store selling Noctua cpu cooler in my area. They have both NH-D14 and NH-U12S but NH-U12S is out of stock at the moment. I have time until july so i can wait until it's available. I'll check the cooler you suggested, thanks. :)

Thanks for the info. This will be my first build. I liked Corsair 300R case and Corsair 300R & CX600 psu is the cheapest and best case-psu combo i can get here. People who uses Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo with Corsair 200R and 300R said the cooler fits the case. I am mainly interested in Noctua so i wanted to know if it fits too.
If it doesn't fit, i'll go for CM Hyper 212 Evo. :(

I can buy 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance Low Profile DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 Ram, but is there a performance difference between low profile and normal ram? Will low profile ram be enough for gaming on ultra and high settings?

There is a little price difference with Corsair low profile ram so i can choose it. This is my first build so i don't have enough knowledge about these parts. There is no difference in performance. All it is, is just the heat sink. It is more decorative than anything. Just make sure you get at least 1600MHz.
