Every I open a Office item there is a bar just below the ribbon that says office updates available. Other than closing it every time how do I just make that notice go away?

Solution
Install the updates would be the solution. This corrects issues with compatibility (why can't I open these files? why is Office crashing) as well as correct flaws (I only opened up the email with the quarterly report file, how was I supposed to know it was infected).

If your still receiving the notice, then open Windows Update, and check the Optional. You did not state which edition of Windows your on (or if this is even on Windows), and if your on Windows 8 and did NOT install the Windows 8.1 Update from the Windows Store, or you did NOT update Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.1 Update (sometimes referred as 8.1.1) then you WILL NOT receive updates for all Microsoft products until you complete these steps.

are you a comedian? I installed all available updates already and I have pushed that link 1000 times already it runs its little window and says there are no updates to install. Thus I want to not see that bar every time I open a program.
