Prebuilt pc- need extra cooling

You shouldn't need extra cooling since you aren't overclocking and the corsair carbide is a decent case. If you wanted to be on the safe side you could get an aftermarket CPU cooler like the Cooler Master 212 Evo, it would be quieter and cooler than the stock.

It is true that you probably get by with a stock cooler. But it only helps if you put an after market cooler on your build.
Even if you are not overclocking. From my point of view as a computer builder I almost never use the stock cooler. This doesn't mean you need the best of the best. But if you can drop your cpu temps it is only going to help. By the way what is the model of your Corsair carbide case?

Cheap mobo and psu? At least its better than the rubbish dell uses. Ever heard of Dell Hell?
A true story- my current laptop has within two years, wrecked its Psu and battery, and also the mobo has become corrupted and now only accepts 2GB RAM (minimum for windows 7- the OS that it came with)
There's proof that custom pcs are better than the overpriced dell rubbish (especially Alienware)
