Hi,

I need to buy a new PSU because my old one (c3tech 750w) cannot handle my gtx 780.

So I wonder which one should I buy, a corsair 760i or 860i?

Here is my config:

i5 2500k
2x 4GB ram
gtx 780

I'm in doubt because here in my country the price difference is high.

a 650w quality power supply is enough. But out of the two. Corsair AX 760 ( not the i version).

+1 650w being plenty.

the problem isnt your currents psus wattage. it is the quality of the psu. it simply isnt producing the wattage it says it does at a constant rate

really, any quality psu at or over 650 watts will be plenty for your system

What about the CX 750W? Would it be enough? I mean, the gtx 780 requires a minimum 600w - 42A (12v). What's the difference between the CX 750 and the AX 760 in this scenario?

Exactly what neon neophyte said. AX uses better quailty materials inside that are rated to endure longer and less likely to fail under heat or stress. It also have strict regulations on the power delivery as well as been more efficient in converting AC to DC power.
