RAM Compatiability Question

Currently I am running a set-up with 2X4GB for 8 GB. I am using these. I have been playing Watch Dogs and have had problems running out of memory. I suspect it is mostly Ubisoft's fault and there are probably memory leaks. I always planed on putting more RAM in when I got more funds so now seems like a good time to do it. I am currently looking at this pair of 2X8GB. They have the same exact timings and speed so would I have any problems using them with my 2X4GB for 24GB overall? I plan on selling the old pair to my roommate when he builds his new rig but in the mean time would I have any problems running these together?

Solution
XMP might work and get you a basic setup, normally with a mix like yours, it can take a little extra voltage to the DRAM (about + 0.05) and at times to the MC (Memory controller), that often simply depends on how the CPUs MC is.....if any problems, give me a shout ;)

Yeah, QVLs are pretty worthless

the 2x8GB set should be fine with the Hero (if that's what you are asking about), and might well get them to play with your current 2x4GB set, I've played a lot with different sets of GSkill on both my Z87 and Z97 Hero.....if you need any help give me a shout, no guarantees, but a good chance they'll play or can be adjusted to play

I was not really worried about them working with my mobo. I was just responding to anonymous1. Would they still work in dual channel together? Will XMP work with them since they have the same specs just different sizes?
