Hi there.

I recently bought a 212 Evo which makes a huge improvement to the stock cooler, as many of you know. However, I found applying the thermal paste a little tricky and I think I have applied it unevenly because my temps are a little unusual:

this is while gpu + cpu mining dogecoin, with 100% cpu load (4670k stock clock), and i had similar results running prime95. Does anyone know about this? Is it just a matter of reinstalling cooler with fresh paste?

It's very common to see different temperatures between Cores. It's more likely that the reason for this is with Intel's manufacturing process than with your application of thermal compound.

You can read about it in the Intel Temperature Guide - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html

Pay particular attention to Overclocking and Vcore on the second page.

The Guide will help you to understand what you're looking at, how to properly test your rig, and whether there's actually a problem.
