weird thing going on with laptop...

So i have a laptop that im working on and im having a weird problem. When the laptop powers on i feel the hard drive spinning/hearing it spinning but nothing comes up on the screen, similarly, the fan isnt spinning either, i recently replaced the power module and the battery does take the charge, im assuming the fan and screen are related but not sure, any help would be greatly appreciated.

No picture on either the integrated display or an external monitor implies that the laptop is not booting up. Unfortunately, you may be looking at a system board or processor failure.

Did it work before you opened the laptop, or is that why you opened it?

The entire reason i opened it was because someone who is far more careless than myself knocked the power module out of its place, so i opened it assuming that once it was fixed, it would more than likely work, it was a relatives of mine so i dont know the Exactly when it stopped working, if it stopped, but the tldr version is i opened it to fix a broken power module with no background on the actual machine.

A lot of the time laptops use a light system to give error messages. When you next turn it on have a look to see if the power button flashes in any sort of pattern, and google your laptops model number (and put it here) to find the corresponding error :) it happened with my HP pavilion G6 last year, one day it suddenly wouldn't turn on, power light was flashing one every few seconds, it was telling me the processor had died :(
