Does my build need low profile memory?

On a different thread somebody suggested to me that I should use low profile memory for my build due to my CPU cooler, so I'm just double checking to make sure that this is 100% true.

Here's what I'm thinking so far (my parts list): goo.gl/6acfG7
ALSO you will notice there is no video card there, as I am getting it from here: goo.gl/PDE2Sb
Not too long ago it was going for ~$140, so I may or may not wait for it to go back down before I buy it... (btw I've looked for places where I can buy these new aswell, and I haven't found any, but from what I've read these sellers are just fine and are safe to buy from... plus I'm saving about 50-100 dollars by buying it used, depending on the price I buy it at of course)

On top of that please note that my Motherboard is not final (I'm in between a couple of ASRock and Gigabyte ones). If you have any suggestions on that matter feel free to tell me :)

Should probably also mention that my budget is around $750-$850

That's all, thanks!

the motherboard you have is a pretty good one.

now regarding your low profile memory sticks.
selecting the physical dimensions of a memory module depends on a lot of factors.
1. the spacing between ZIF and the RAM slot.
2. type of aftermarket cooler and heat sink used.
3. you idea for air flow in and out of your system.

for your mobo ASRock 990FX Extreme3 there is a decent spacing between the two sockets (processor and ram).
the cooler master hyper 212 evo is not very big. And you have only opted for 2 memory sticks.
so you will not need a low profile module but if you are planning to add two more in the future one of the memory stick and the cooler will have only a small amount of the space between them(the cooler will not occupy the space above the ram slots)

Must have left out a letter or two ;) But answer is simple - No, no need for low profile, the Hyper 212 EVO has adjustable Fan(s) (you can add a second) which are height adjustable, I have RipJaws X sitting under a EVO on my SB (2500K) rig, and Trident X sitting under another on my IB (3570K), so can use any DRAM, and no ill affects from raising the fan the 1.4 inch or so that may be needed with tall sticks :)
