Been looking at these GPU's but being i dont know much at all abt them i was wondering which would give me the best preformance, Graphics, and fps.. Would like to hear how to tell what to look for in the cards if anyone can explain also..

Here are links to the card:
R9-280

And will the GPU fit inside a Elite 430 case?

R9 280, easily the better card. The cooler is decent, and for what you pay for it, a solid choice

Your case supports cards up to 315mm, that card is defiantly less then that.

Performance wise R9 280 will be much better than R9 270x , so R9 280 will be the best

CM Elite 430 can fit graphics card upto 315mm in lenght and either of them will fit easily

If you want to look for a graphics card, first of all decide what is your maximum budget, then see which graphics cards fall into your budget, then see which one is fastest from their benchmarks, then choose which card will work with your build without any bottleneck and at last choose the GPU which is bang for buck/has better price/performance value.

In this case higher numbers are better lol but is not always the case..
The 280 has 384bit ddr5 and more stream processors
They should fit but you need to measure yourself.

Ok thanks guys I was thinking of doing Crossfire with two of them also so what power supply should I be looking for? Right now I have a CX750.. I see the the system requirements for just one says 750W (minimum).. but from what pcpartpicker says ill be using 624w but idk... im no pc wiz lol

at max load, your PSU will be able to cope, the minimum specified PSU is only given to make sure you have the absolute enough, which is always overkill. Your PSU is enough. It will at max tend to only draw around 620W.

750W PSU is enough for crossfiring either R9 280 or R9 270x but with CX750W you'll be pushing your system at risk since it is not that decent quality PSU, don't use more than 50% power of maximum rated output of CX line of PSU's if you want reliability. This forum is full of people who end up blowing their systems while using high-end graphics card with CX PSU.

A single R9 280 or 270x is still bearable with CX 750W PSU. If you have plans to crossfire then you should seriously consider upgrading your PSU first.

Also a single R9 280 won't draw more than 210W at peak load for gaming purpose. Two of them in crossfire will make total of 420W. Depending upon on your CPU's power consumption, your system's peak power consumption won't be greater than 600W at load.

This is the build im looking at so far.. So what kinda PSU would i need to power crossfire R9-280 or R9-280x?
