So I recently was gifted an Antec open case computer without the power supply or hard drive. I goggled what kind of power it used and got 19v 4.7amp, so I went to a pc repair shop and bought a power supply that was 19v 4.7amp. I had it all plugged in and when I pressed the power button the computer turned on for a split second. I was able to replicate the results a second time. Could this have something to do with the polarity of the comp and the power supply? Or could it be a something else? I did initially see a spark as I touched the connector, while plugged into the wall, into the computer.

Solution
Hi, better buy an original FP-150-8 PSU. The other Open Frame PSU you have is obviously not posting the Power Good Signal correctly to the motherboard, so it shuts down after a second. You can try other PSUs, but might need some more trial and error to find one with a compatible Power Good-Signal.
