You say you don't need the OS in the price, but you have the OS there. I doubt you need a $160 board, what features will you use vs a $130 board?

the hyper 212 is good, but it is a $30 cooler. If you want a serious OC you need more cooling.

Any corsair is a great case, but I would go with one with a solid side panel for sound reasons.

With these changes you should be able to afford an amd 290.

I would spend less on the motherboard, get an SSD and a higher quality monitor for your Photoshop work. The VH238H has pretty average color reproduction.

Here's what I'd get.

CPU and motherboard combo from newegg work out to be the same price as buying them from amazon... Yes the monitor is cheaper I think I changed back to newegg for some reason.. I we'll recheck the prices.. Thanks again for the help Zero_.. The GPU from newegg comes with with Watch Dog.. That's why I picked newegg

But why? The E3 1230 is essentially a slower I7 4770 with ECC support. It would be slower than a i5 4670K in gaming and not really required for Photoshop either.
