Hello,
I am planning on building my first PC in the next couple of weeks :)  but since I have no experience, I thought I'd come here for advice. I'm trying a silent build and it is white themed.
I know the SSD is small but I have an external HDD for when it's needed.
My budget was originally ~$1000, but it increased to where it is now.
Any thoughts for improvements while staying around this budget?

Preferably white-themed and silent

Thanks!

You might want to switch that PSU to a 650 watt. AMD recommends so, and that card is power hungry. If you want some headroom for overclocking, get a 700 watt (I recommend doing so, as you have a great system for overclocking if you ever decide to do so). Your PSU comes in 650 and 750 watt variants, so I would look at getting one of those. MalakiArtook has a good PSU suggestion that would be better.

Speaking of an all white build, take a look at this quiet yet powerful CPU cooler. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... Its all white :)

Also, if you are looking to be putting games on a hard drive, you probably do not want to use the external HDD. a WD 1TB black HDD (or blue, but black is a bit speedier and I prefer it over the blue) might suit you better. But that is optional. If you don't mind deleting and re-installing games that is fine (plus if you use steam or similar things, your saves are backed up in the cloud).

It comes in 650W or 750W, which is only $10 more.
How's this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Or is there a better option for the same price?

I've heard good things about that PSU. I would recommend one of these as well.

Rosewill Capstone 650M - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00822BTLC/ref=as_li_q...
Corsair RM 650 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EB7UIRS/ref=as_li_q...

Or this. A bit more expensive, but fits your color scheme.
NZXT Hale 90 850W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Also get a Crucial M500. Quite a bit cheaper and you wouldn't notice a difference in gaming. This is coming from an 840 Evo user.

Wow, how is it good, that cheap, and fully modular? Looks good.
Only problem with getting 750W is IF I decide to crossfire in the future, I won't have much room.
I guess if I ever do I can just upgrade. Should be a pretty long time before that happens.

Thanks!

Ok, I'll switch to that SSD

Do you know anything about that NZXT Hale 90? It looks nice for my color scheme but is it any good?
With the $ saved on the SSD I could get it

Yep it's a very good PSU. I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up for myself.

I don't know which one I'll get. If I got a black one like the XFX, I was considering wrapping it in white carbon fiber wrap. The NZXT would probably look nicer but I don't know how they compare performance-wise

well the XFX is a tier 1 and the halo is a tier 2 both are good.. the halo matches well but the xfx is slightly better quality and $40 cheaper. decisions, decisions... :p

EDIT: both will crossfire it only takes like 600w of power to run 2 290s + everything else

I think I'll go with the hale PSU as it has 850W for crossfire upgradability in the future.
Here's my final build:

Depending on a couple things, I'll probably have my PC built in a week or two :D

I'll post pictures when I'm done.

Thank you both for your help!
