So here's my problem. I have a Western Digital WD5000BEKT hard drive, and as I write files to it, the G-Sense Error Rate in the SMART data keep rising, however, it is not reporting any read or write or CRC errors. I do feel vibrations coming from my laptop due to the two hard drives, however my main drive isn't getting any G-Sense Errors.

And the WD5000BEKT also can get pretty hot up to 53 degrees C and above. Quite hotter than my main drive. Also, the laptop is not being moved around, so why is the G-Sense Error Rate going up, and is it something to be concerned about if there are no other errors? Could this be due to the high temps on the drive? Or is something else causing this?

Please reply soon, thanks.

Thanks for the reply, so far I haven't had any problems with the drive, all my data appears to be intact, the G-Sense just keeps going up slowly, however nothing else is climbing. I wonder if it's just uber sensitive?
