My XFX 7970 GHZ ed. has normally been getting around 75-80 C under highload gaming at stock speeds. My ambient temps are right around 80F and increasing as summer is getting closer and closer. I have been debating if it was worth upgrading my current rig to a Open Loop WC system so i can use it for my CPU and GPU and plus some cool factor into my rig.

I have been consideringXSPC Raystorm 750 EX360 Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit with XSPC Razor HD 7970 Full Coverage VGA Block

I am open to the idea of going Open Loop cooling and am very interested but i also heard that Corsair HG10 GPU Water Cooling Bracket is suppose to come out soon, and wondering if its worth waiting for that. I need some opinions please! Help! [Reference (http://www.tomshardware.com/news/corsair-hg10-water-cooling-gpu,26959.html)]

I have a spare Hyper 212 EVO if I were to go with Corsair HG10 route

I7-4770k with Corsair H100

Solution
An NZXT kraken g10 is a product similar to the corsair HG10 coming out. You could use that instead.

Watercooling is nice, but if you are not overclocking, it may be an unnecessary expense.

Before doing any kind of overclocking or anything, get a new PSU.

Back to your question lol If you have high ambient temps, going with something like even an H50 will keep the GPU extremely cool, which will in turn keep the rest of the inside of your case cool and overall quieter :)

I keep on reading that the kraken g10 isn't fully ready yet due to vrm overheating constantly, and 1 other main components that i forgot offhand

You can always buy some mini heatsinks and put them on the VRM and VRAM to cool them down.

The reviews I've seen on the G10 have all said temps on the VRMs were similar even on the 290x than what they would be with the custom cooler.
