Hey guys first time posting on here. So I have a custom built rig (specs below). When I start my computer it has absolutely no problems, boots super fast, everything works 100% fine. If I press start -> shutdown, my computer will shutdown (mainly) without problems...more on that later. When I turn the PC back on, again boots no problem. However, if I press the power button on my tower to power off my PC, it'll shut down completely normal but when I go to boot it again, it struggles. It POST's fine, but as soon as the windows 8 loading circle goes to appear, my computer just shuts down and stays shut down. When I press the power button to turn it on again...it boots fine. Now I obviously know it's recommended to shutdown via windows commands, which I do every time, but even the odd time that whole process will happen when properly shutting it down.

Now, I previously had a Asus Z87-A motherboard that worked flawless and never had a single issue with it. I decided to upgrade to an Asus MAXIMUS VI HERO board. Everything works fine (minus the odd occasion of the above situation) but when I power down my system, it almost sounds like it spools down, turns back on for about 1-2 seconds (or spools back up) and then shuts down completely. It just doesn't sound like it's powering off correctly, and it never did it on the previous board. I'm kind of at a loss. I'm getting a new power supply soon, so maybe that will solve this issue? But I'm just confused as to why it's only happening with this board and not the other.
