Hey guys, i'm having some serious fps issues on bf3. My friend and I have virtually identical rigs, (He has an fx6350 whereas i have a fx6100, and his gpu is a 7770 whereas mine is a 7750, but i have an extra 8gb of ram) and he is getting about 60-70 fps on medium settings, yet I can only get about 40-50 on low with no AA running at 720p. I'm very confused as the hardware is very close so I don't understand what could be causing such a performance gap.
My PC Specs:
- AMD 6 core fx6100 processor
- 16gb of kingston basic 1600mhz ram
- AMD HD7750 1gb
- 1tb HDD
- A single pci low end gigabyte motherboard (I forget the model number)
- 64 bit windows 7 home premium oem

Can anyone help me here?

assuming you're both playing at 720p, that seems about right actually.

the FX-41**/61**/81** zambezi are just plain unimpressive over it's successor, the vishera CPUs for a gaming platform.

and just because model number-wise, there's a one step difference between the 7770 & 7750, there's a significant difference between the two in terms of performance;

another factor that may affect your performance is your RAM, especially if that's a 4x4gb kit; dual channel boards will clock down memory speed when you're using up all four memory slots to achieve system stability. so a 4x4GB DDR3 running at 1600mhz will clock down to, say, 1400mhz when the situation calls for it.

other factors to consider is your software running in the background. either disable them manually, or use 3rd party applications like Game Booster. also are you certain your drivers are up to date?

all in all, sorry to say, but your builds aren't really that identical.
